The clients came to us with a clear vision: a home that felt open and connected to the surrounding landscape without sacrificing privacy or comfort. The result is a single-story layout with floor-to-ceiling glass, natural stone accents, and covered outdoor living spaces that blur the line between inside and out.
The site presented both challenge and opportunity. A gentle slope with mature oak trees meant careful grading and a foundation plan that preserved the existing landscape. We oriented the home to capture prevailing breezes and frame the western hill views from the main living spaces.
Material selections were driven by longevity and regional character. Local limestone, white oak flooring, and standing-seam metal roofing create a palette that ages gracefully. Every finish was chosen to require minimal maintenance while developing patina over time.
